Making your own salad dressing is so easy! It’s also a great way to save money and make sure that you know what ingredients are in the things you choose to eat.
Here is a basic salad dressing that I often use with any salad (including pasta salads), and you can mix up the seasoning however you prefer!
Basic salad dressing recipe:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1-2 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- 1-2 tsp lemon juice
- 1-2 tsp honey (you can heat up the honey for a few seconds at a time in the microwave if it’s not runny enough to mix)
- salt and pepper to taste
Method:
- Whisk all ingredients together in a small bowl (or place all ingredients in a small glass jar and shake to combine)
- Mix straight into a salad or keep in airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days (make sure to shake/stir before serving if kept in fridge)
Enjoy and save yourself lots of money on not buying salad dressings at the store!
