Living in a small space can be challenging, because we need to be more organised and more careful of much stuff we keep and where we store things. In this video I share how I’ve organised my tiny city apartment to work for us, and some simple organisation tips that you can use in small spaces in your home too!
3 keys to small space organisation:
- Use storage friendly furniture. I am a big fan of using under bed storage, either a bed frame with drawers in it, or plastic tubs or similar to take advantage of that precious space to store things you might use less often.
- Group things in categories/sections. Giving things a ‘home’ is super important in a tiny space and I often use bins or containers to group things to avoid things getting messy, but also to make it easy for me (and my partner) to find things.
- Declutter regularly and manage your inventory. Clutter and items will inevitably make their way into our home through shopping, gifts, event showbags and all sorts of things. Decluttering things helps you free up space and ensure that the space works for you, rather than against you!
